An Investment In Your Leaders and Employees. "Not providing leadership training because of cost is like not having a front door on your home and conducting regular family meetings about your high utility expenses." “Personnel issues are like diapers, when there is a stink, something must be changed. It won’t go away.” “It is the duty of a leader to make every effort to insure the success of others. Training and development are a major step in fulfilling that duty. If you do not see employee development as an important part of leadership, you can not be a successful leader. In most cases, when employees fail, leaders have failed.” "The improvement and development of an organization is limited by the improvement and development of its leadership. How is your leadership improving and developing?" "Not being intentional in leadership development is the equivalent of having a written goal of; “I want to have the same level of knowledge at the end of the year that I have now.”" "Why not use your business to build people as people build your business?" "Recipe for success - 1. Provide all leaders the skills to produce results with others. 2. Hold them accountable. One without the other will not work. ALARMT™ and LeaderMeetings.com will provide number 1. Number 2 is up to you. Responsibility without accountability does not produce a high percentage of success. This is true at every level." "There are over 500,000 monthly internet searches for “Management and Leadership Training”. Successful companies know the value of equipping and developing their leadership team." • Achieving excellent results by yourself with the proper training – Easy. • Achieving excellent results by leading others with the proper training – Difficult but highly possible. • Achieving excellent results by leading others without initial or ongoing training-Difficult, Unfair and Unrealistic. -Greg Gilbert - HR Consultant |

Greg Gilbert Presents "Who Manages Your Results?"
Allow me to mix in some of the ALARMT™ principles into your next meeting. I would like to share my presentation "Who Manages Your Results?" with your group. How many times have we heard people say "Well, most people would do this" or "Most people would not do that"? Guess what? Most people are not Healthy, Wealthy and Wise. Most people are NOT leaders. Note: When I say wealthy, it is not just financial. It is wealthy in time, relationships and not living paycheck to paycheck. Personally, I don't want to be like "Most People". Successful people form habits of doing things that unsuccessful people do not like to do. Here is the most encouraging news, successful people DO NOT LIKE DOING IT EITHER, BUT THEY DO IT ANYWAY!! "Most People" are only six inches from success and not being like "most people". That is the distance between their ears. We need to review your "Life Résumé" because you may be settling. You may be settling in your business, personal, financial, physical or all of the above, parts of your life. We NEED to talk!! You may be "Most People"!! Here is the scary thing. If a company is made up of "most employees" who are supervised by "most supervisors" and results are managed by "most managers", guess what, you will be like "most companies". Let me help change that. Let's form habits of doing things we may not like doing but lead to improved results. The "R" word. Results are more important today than ever. Are your results sustainable? Let's think of things differently. The items I cover will be from life, family and work experiences. It is amazing but my personal "Life Résumé" from over a decade in Human Resources seems to have thousands of more pages than my other years of life combined. In my HR career I have seen what worked for decades but I have also seen what has led to disaster. I have been asked if I was a motivational, inspirational or educational speaker. I always answer NO, I am a speaker. If someone doesn't want to be motivated, inspired or educated, then no one can accomplish this. BUT, put me with a group that wants the benefit of hundreds of years of personal and mentors PEOPLE experience THEN we will participate in motivation, inspiration, education AND fun! Face it, most of the time Human Resources (HR) is NOT a fun topic. There is SO much damage control, so much DRAMA. BUT, there ARE success stories. These do not just happen. They normally happen because SOMEONE DID THEIR JOB. A "success story" is normally NOT created by "most people". We will talk about these items in between such hit songs as "I Love HR" and other miss songs (the opposite of a hit song). The reason all groups enjoy this presentation is because the common theme is people. I will promise you will think differently when you leave. Our goal is to increase personal responsibility and reduce finger pointing. My goal is to have everyone leave as "Unmost People"! Note: "But I Am Not Most People™" can be designed to fit your group. My favorites are Human Resources, manager, and employee meetings, not in any order. It's not a concert or a pre-designed program. I like to call it a "VISIT". Every audience is different. What can I share with you? I do not claim to be smarter, or even as smart as the next person. In my life I have been blessed with two parents, two grandparents, one spouse, two daughters, two grandchildren, two in-laws and many other friends, family and mentors that have updated my life résumé. The thing that may separate me from others is that my last eleven years prior to retirement were spent as the Area Manager of Human Resources. I have been the primary HR contact to a workforce of 900-2100 at various times. I had and took advantage of hundreds of years of "life experience" from many mentors in this position. To have my "Life Résumé" updated only hourly was a slow day. I've seen what works and what leads to disaster. Great News!! You do not have to hold a HR position to get this information. In life we have access to these years of "life experience" in friends, family, books, CD's, videos and seminars. Why are we not taking advantage? Because we SETTLE! BECAUSE WE ARE LIKE "MOST PEOPLE"!! "Who Manages Your Results?" is a 45-60 minute presentation with real life stories mixed with a few songs that will touch every emotion. For example, I have had many comments from attendees wishing they had heard "the bucket story" years ago. All I can do is agree and wish I had heard it in my twenties.
The songs and stories will touch a nerve, make you laugh and hopefully make you think of changes you can make in your business and life. You will NOT leave with the same thought process!! Whether you do anything with it is totally up to you. Are you a settler or pioneer? Are you "MOST PEOPLE"? It's not a concert or a pre-designed program, I like to call it a "VISIT". Every audience is different. Update the "Life Resumé" of your group!! Don't be like "Most People"!! Length of Program-45-60 minutes-Great for lunch or dinner meetings or a fun break in supervisor meetings / retreats. Fee: Contact me for a quote. Travel expenses are negotiable depending on the location. Lodging if required. Note: "Who Manages Your Results?" can be designed to fit your group. My favorites are Human Resources and employee meetings.
